I. The Father’s Will and Hand
John 6:38-40
“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
Matthew 18:14
“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.”
#1: The Father’s Will is Our Salvation!
John 10:28-30
“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand. I and my Father are one.”
#2: The Father’s Hand is Our Security!
II. His Hand to Hold, and The Father’s Word
Matthew 14:22-33
“And immediately Jesus stretched forth His hand, and caught him…” (vs. 31).
The Lord held out His hand to hold Peter. Not vice versa.
Entering into the ship, they worshipped Him!
#3: The Father’s Word is Our Assurance!
John 17:8, 14
“For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me…I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.”
III. The Father’s Presence and Love
John 14:21: “He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.”

John 15:9: “As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.”
John 16:27: “For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me…”
John 17:23: “I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.”
#5: The Father’s Love as Our Resource!
IV. The Father’s Mercies, Comfort, and Home
2 Corinthians 1:3: “Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort.”
#6: The Father’s Mercies and Comfort for the Pathway!
John 14:1-3: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
